Steve Norris announced as keynote speaker at Beaufort seminar

Beaufort Capital has announced Steve Norris, former Minister for Transport, as the keynote speaker for its upcoming breakfast seminar.

The development finance provider is hosting a seminar which will look at unlocking investment opportunities in the regions and is being held at Home House in London on 26th September from 7.45 to 10.00.

Norris is a former Conservative MP, has previously been a candidate for mayor of London and is currently chairman of Soho Estates and chair of the Council of National Infrastructure Planning Association.

He has also advised on major brownfield development sites across the UK.

There will also be a panel discussion will feature a number of key names from across the development industry and will be chaired by Mark Quigley, managing director at Beaufort.

The panel includes:

  • Clive Wilding, development director at Artisan Real Estate Investors
  • Melanie Leech, chief executive at British Property Federation
  • Brian Welsh, CEO at The Nido Collection
  • Richard Eames, executive director at CBRE

The event is targeted at property developers, finance professionals and industry experts who have an interest in developing property outside of the London area.

“The central London residential property market has experienced strong growth in the last five years, but more recently there has been a cooling off in some areas,” said Mark.

“There are still excellent growth opportunities in many regional towns and cities in a wide variety of real estate asset classes.”

Beaufort provides mezzanine loans, equity and bridge-to-mezzanine loans to property developers throughout England, Scotland and Wales.

“Beaufort is actively financing developments across Britain, particularly in the regions, and believes there are considerable opportunities for developers outside of London and the South East,” added Mark.

“The event will be an opportunity for industry experts to give insight into the current trends and discuss where there are potential opportunities in a wide range of asset classes throughout the country.”

Those interested in attending the event can register on Beaufort’s website.
